From 1/03/2025, LOGPAY Transport Services GmbH will be part of Volkswagen Group Charging GmbH. It will then be given a new name and will be called Elli Mobility GmbH in future. The Charge&Fuel services provided by this company will therefore soon be moved to the new Elli Mobility GmbH website.

PLUG&CHARGE is a feature or authentication method that enables charging sessions to be started and stopped simply by connecting or disconnecting the charging cable at the charging point. The charging point recognises the electric vehicle from the certificate stored in the vehicle and starts the charging process automatically. This eliminates the need to use a CHARGE&FUEL Card or App in addition.
First you must check whether your vehicle is PLUG&CHARGE capable and whether a related software update may be necessary. If you have any questions, please contact your vehicle manufacturer or authorised dealer. If your electric vehicle supports the technical requirements for PLUG&CHARGE, you will need a CHARGE&FUEL Card with the charging feature enabled.
Please check the manufacturer’s specifications for your vehicle. If you have any questions, please contact your vehicle manufacturer or authorised dealer directly. If you request the PLUG&CHARGE feature, LOGPAY will also check whether your vehicle is PLUG&CHARGE capable.
Provided that the requirements for using PLUG&CHARGE are met and a certificate is available for your CHARGE&FUEL Card, the fleet manager will receive a confirmation email from LOGPAY about available certificates and the necessary information on how to set up the PLUG&CHARGE feature. If the PLUG&CHARGE feature has been requested for several cards, the fleet manager will receive a separate email for each card number. The vehicle must then be ready for the certificate to be installed and, depending on the manufacturer, the driver must be verified as the main user. The certificate can then be stored in the vehicle by installing it in the manufacturer’s app or directly in the vehicle. You will find instructions on how to activate a certificate in the PLUG&CHARGE step-by-step guide.
After the certificate has been activated or installed, the PLUG&CHARGE feature will appear in your vehicle’s infotainment system settings or in the manufacturer’s app, depending on the vehicle manufacturer and model.
Provided that you are the authorised main user and your vehicle is ready for the certificate to be installed, you can activate or install the PLUG&CHARGE certificate in the manufacturer’s app or directly in the vehicle’s PLUG&CHARGE settings. The EMAID of the LOGPAY certificate is DEGCELPZ******* (for VW Group vehicles, this can be found in the third-party provider section). The ‘LP’ in the EMAID stands for LOGPAY. If the LOGPAY certificate is not listed, please contact your fleet manager who will get in touch with the respective agent at LOGPAY.
The vehicle identification number (FIN) must be entered so that the Plug&Charge certificate can be assigned to your vehicle.
You no longer need your CHARGE&FUEL Card to start and stop charging sessions at PLUG&CHARGE-capable charging stations. However, a CHARGE&FUEL Card must be assigned to each vehicle so that the charging sessions can be allocated to the respective users and billed accordingly.
You can start a charging session using the CHARGE&FUEL Card, App or simply PLUG&CHARGE, depending on the charging station, at all charging stations across Europe that accept the CHARGE&FUEL Card.
In the CHARGE&FUEL App, you can use the filter feature to search for PLUG&CHARGE-capable stations. The relevant stations including their level of occupancy are then displayed in the map view of the CHARGE&FUEL App.
No separate cable is required to start a charging session using PLUG&CHARGE.
Charging begins as soon as the charging cable is plugged in.
The feature can be used at all PLUG&CHARGE-capable stations throughout Europe.
Regardless of authorisation method, all details of your charging sessions are listed in the transaction history of your CHARGE&FUEL App, as usual.
Tesla uses its own, not freely accessible, PLUG&CHARGE technology for its vehicles. This is not compatible with the ISO standard. Consequently, these vehicles currently cannot be charged using the PLUG&CHARGE feature at Ionity fast charging stations.
Yes, deactivating Plug&Charge does not affect the functionality of the Charge&Fuel card. You can use the card as usual for the services you have activated.
If the charging cable cannot be removed from the vehicle, you can operate the emergency release. Please also refer to the information in the vehicle manual.
The feature is available in all tariffs. Enabling it does not increase the basic monthly fees. All basic fees and tariffs are listed in LOGPAY’s pricing and service specifications.
Since PLUG&CHARGE is an authentication method (in addition to an RFID card and app), there are no additional costs. The current consumption-based prices are listed in the station details of the respective charging station in the CHARGE&FUEL App.
The certificate has a minimum term of 12 months and is valid for a maximum of 24 months. Unless cancelled, the certificate will be automatically renewed for a further 12 months at no additional cost. However, the certificate must be reinstalled in the vehicle or the manufacturer’s app.
If you change your electric vehicle, you need to generate and install a new certificate.
If the card has been blocked and a new card issued, the user must apply for and install a PLUG&CHARGE certificate for the new card.
The certificate is linked to the card or the vehicle and can therefore only be installed in a single vehicle.
Deleting the vehicle from the manufacturer’s app does not affect the certificate. The certificate remains valid.
Changing your mobile phone and installing the manufacturer’s app anew does not affect the existing certificate at all. The certificate remains valid.
Since a factory reset deletes the existing certificate, the fleet manager must apply for a new certificate from LOGPAY.
No, this cannot be done. The PLUG&CHARGE feature is enabled in conjunction with a single card, so only one PLUG&CHARGE certificate is generated at a time.
If the PLUG&CHARGE feature is to be cancelled or disabled, LOGPAY requires a written request from the fleet manager to disable the feature for the specified CHARGE&FUEL Card.
You cannot temporarily revoke or deactivate the certificate. If the PLUG&CHARGE feature of a CHARGE&FUEL Card is cancelled, the certificate becomes invalid. To re-enable the feature, the user must apply for and install a new certificate.
